In response to the increasing demand for a more diverse transportation professional work force, in partnership with Civil Engineering and the Center for Transportation Equity Decisions and Dollars (CTEDD), the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs offers a certificate program that prepares students to plan, advocate and engineer for sustainable transportation and for better equity within existing transportation resources and infrastructure.

• • 15-hour curriculum certificate.
  • Eligibility: degree and non-degree seeking students can apply.
  • Stackable certificate with the Master of City and Regional Planning degree.

Upskill into a high-wage and high demand occupation. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows urban planning occupations to have one of the best outlooks “projected to grow 11 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations” (BLS 2020).
