Transportation Planning & Policy (TPP) Certificate

In response to the increasing demand for a more diverse transportation professional work force, in partnership with Civil Engineering and the Center for Transportation Equity Decisions and Dollars (CTEDD), the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs offers a certificate program that prepares students to plan, advocate and engineer for sustainable transportation and for better equity within existing transportation resources and infrastructure.

    • 15-hour curriculum certificate.
    • Eligibility: degree and non-degree seeking students can apply.
    • Stackable certificate with the Master of City and Regional Planning degree.

Upskill into a high-wage and high demand occupation. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows urban planning occupations to have one of the best outlooks “ projected to grow 4 percent from 2022 to 2032, about as fast as the average for all occupations.” (BLS 2024).
